DAILY SOUPS
• Cream of Wild Rice Soup
From the Boundary Waters of Minnesota, this recipe is thick with the wild rice of that area, plus the smoky-sweet flavor of apple-wood smoked bacon, carrots, celery and onion all melded deliciously in a chicken stock and cream base. This one wins over everyone who gives it a try.
• Roast Garlic and Tomato Soup with Pesto Cream -
A classic blending of flavors in a grown-up tomato soup that is pure tomato flavor - not cream based. The roasting adds depth and strengthens flavors, while bringing out the natural sweetness of the tomato and garlic. We add pesto to round out the flavor and a squeeze of pesto-cream to garnish.
