There once were two little girls, named Doris and Carole who loved to play "let's pretend". They were sisters, playmates, and very best friends.

One day Doriola and Cariola, as they affectionately called each other, would play house together. The next day they would be "pirates", roguishly flinging a flashing blade in a fierce sword fight. The following day they might be part of the fabulous Ringling Brothers Circus, flying fearlessly from the trapeze or nimbly walking the high wire. Their games, fun, and imagination extended to every occupation and the four corners of the world.

As the days and years passed, the girls became closer and closer and fondly extended their pet names to Cariola Catfish and Doriola Dogfish. They grew up, attended college and eventually married. Doris had eight children, two of whom own and operate Doriolas. These two, Vivian and Janet, named their establishment in honor of their much admired mother and the bodacious little girl she was and is.
